Publication Ethics & Plagiarism Policy 

The Positive Statistics Academy Journal (PSAJ) is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and integrity, in full alignment with the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

1. Originality and Integrity

• Authors must guarantee that their manuscripts are entirely original.
• Submitted works must not have been published previously or be under simultaneous review by another journal.
• Data and results must be reported honestly and without fabrication, falsification, or manipulation.

2. Plagiarism and Similarity Check

• All submissions undergo plagiarism screening using specialized software.
• Any manuscript showing unacceptable levels of similarity, including self-plagiarism, will be rejected immediately.
• Proper citation of all sources, including the authors’ previous work, is mandatory.

3. Authorship Criteria

Authorship must be limited to individuals who have made a substantial scholarly contribution to:

• study design,
• data collection or analysis,
• manuscript drafting or critical revision.

All listed authors must:

• approve the final version,
• agree to be accountable for the content.

Guest, honorary, or gift authorship is strictly prohibited.

4. Conflicts of Interest

Authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any existing or potential conflict of interest, whether financial, institutional, or personal, that could influence the research or review process.

5. Ethical Responsibilities of Reviewers

• Maintain strict confidentiality of all manuscripts.
• Provide objective, fair, and constructive evaluations.
• Avoid reviewing any manuscript where a conflict of interest exists.
• Refrain from using unpublished material for personal benefit.

6. Editorial Responsibilities

The Editorial Board must:

• make publication decisions based solely on academic merit and reviewer recommendations,
• ensure the integrity of the review process,
• maintain confidentiality,
• address ethical concerns promptly and transparently.

7. Misconduct, Corrections, and Retractions

If ethical violations or major errors are identified post-publication, the journal will take one or more of the following actions:

• Issue a correction
• Publish an expression of concern
• Retract the article if necessary

The journal follows COPE flowcharts for dealing with ethical misconduct.

تلتزم مجلة أكاديمية الإحصاء الإيجابي (PSAJ) بأعلى معايير النزاهة العلمية وأخلاقيات النشر، بما يتوافق مع إرشادات لجنة أخلاقيات النشر الدولية COPE.

1. الأصالة والنزاهة العلمية

• يجب أن يضمن المؤلفون أن أعمالهم أصلية تمامًا.
• لا يجوز أن يكون البحث منشورًا سابقًا أو تحت التحكيم في مجلة أخرى عند تقديمه.
• يجب عرض البيانات والنتائج بصدق، دون تزوير أو تلاعب أو حذف متعمّد.

2. الانتحال وفحص التشابه

• تُخضع جميع المخطوطات لفحص الانتحال باستخدام برامج متخصصة.
• تُرفض فورًا أي مخطوطة تتجاوز نسب التشابه غير المقبولة، بما في ذلك الانتحال الذاتي.
• يجب توثيق جميع المصادر بشكل صحيح، بما في ذلك أعمال المؤلف نفسه.

3. معايير تأليف البحث

يُدرج اسم المؤلف فقط إذا قدّم مساهمة علمية جوهرية في:

• تصميم الدراسة،
• جمع البيانات أو تحليلها،
• إعداد المسودة أو مراجعتها مراجعة نقدية.

كما يجب على جميع المؤلفين:

• الموافقة على النسخة النهائية،
• تحمّل المسؤولية الكاملة عن ما ورد فيها.

ويُمنع إدراج أسماء لمجرد المجاملة أو الصفة الوظيفية.

4. تضارب المصالح

يلتزم المؤلفون والمراجعون وهيئة التحرير بالإفصاح عن أي تضارب محتمل في المصالح—سواء كان ماليًا، مؤسسيًا، أو شخصيًا—قد يؤثر على البحث أو عملية المراجعة.

5. مسؤوليات المراجعين

• الحفاظ على السرية التامة للمخطوطات.
• تقديم تقييم موضوعي وبنّاء.
• الامتناع عن مراجعة أي بحث يسبب تضارب مصالح.
• عدم استخدام أي جزء من المادة غير المنشورة لأي غرض شخصي.

6. مسؤوليات هيئة التحرير

تلتزم هيئة التحرير بـ:

• اتخاذ قرارات النشر على أساس القيمة العلمية فقط.
• ضمان نزاهة عملية التحكيم المزدوج المجهول.
• الحفاظ على سرية المعلومات.
• التعامل مع أي قضايا أخلاقية بسرعة وشفافية.

7. التصحيحات والسحب والإجراءات الأخلاقية

في حال ظهور مخالفات أخلاقية أو أخطاء جوهرية بعد النشر، تتخذ المجلة الإجراءات المناسبة، بما في ذلك:

• نشر تصحيح،
• إصدار بيان توضيحي،
• أو سحب البحث عند الضرورة.

تعتمد المجلة إجراءات COPE الرسمية للتعامل مع سوء السلوك العلمي.
